What does that mean? I've been wondering for quite some time now. Colonial Acres has this sale, and I'm sure that many other dealers have it too.

Pre-Decimal coins are things like the Rupee that break up into 16 annas, 64 paise, or 192 pies. Canada uses Decimal coins 5, 10, 25, 50, 1, etc. Essentially it is like US imperial vs. Metric. It simplifies coinage into something like a base 10 system. 2 cent coins, Half Cent coins things like these are also pre-decimal.

Thanks very much!!
I used to interpret it as something to do with the endings of the prices and their meanings (e.g. a price ending with .95 is different from a prince ending .98 or .99). It sounds weird but these price endings do make a big difference in clothing outlets...

In the Canadian context, usually refers to 1858 and subsequent provincial and Dominion issues.
