I don't know about the Colonial issues, but the other two are common coins which achieved high prices due to registry mania.

In my mind, the prices of those two are meaningless.

pruebas, totally agree especially the 1931/0 50P. First, this SAME, I mean this exact same coin, sold for $6K a few years ago. This is a really ghosty overdate. My Maximilian, though wiped is a better strike and I paid $1.2K.

In fact I may submit the 1931 50P I paid $800 for, PCGS 63 or 64, I don't remember, to re-slab as an overdate. However before I might lock it in as an overdate at five figures, does anyone want to give me $5K as is?

Ok the registry stuff is good marketing and probably good for our hobby but can go cray-cray.
