Anyone do something similar for Halloween? Maybe threw an Indian Head cent in a bag with a sucker and gumball?

I usually hand out candy at my mother's daycare and/or aunt's house if Halloween lands on her bingo night. Maybe next year
Rest in Peace

The owner of a coin store I visit, along with a number of CCF members, has traditionally given out Kennedy's.
CCF MI. members should know this gentleman.

Oops let me add that he hands them out at his house. A high traffic area for tricksters.

I can remember going out on Halloween when I was about 12 years old, the couple at the door had a huge bowl of quarters, and everyone got a couple dollars. I wish I had known to look out for silver!! But I really did think of giving out some of my world coins to kids that might start a collection one day.

I just try to give coins that are not in common circulation today so kids won't be tempted to spend it.

I give out candy but my kids did get 2 dimes each from a house that had the lights on not knowing it was Halloween. They where just regular Roosevelt dimes

I found someone that was giving out coins from Mint Rolls of ATB Quarters. I got a 2013 Fort McHenry.

we still don't really do Halloween here yet, aside from all the awesome stuff that appears on TV (Simpsons Halloween specials are brilliant) we don't really get trick or treating much. but getting cool coins for dressing up? tempting....

In some areas this Holiday is fading fast. Morons putting stuff in side candy are ruining a once great Holiday. By me the combination of horible weather and those idiots with the things inside candy have it down to almost no kids at all. I had none and I live right near a grade school. They partied at the school and then all went home.

I've noticed that Girl Guides and Cub Scouts aren't out hawking cookies and apples door to door anymore. They have their parents bug people at their work or set up a table in the local grocery store, probably for the same stranger danger you mentioned just carl. It is sad what the world is coming to.
