Poll Question
OK, so being a penny and nickel searcher, I rarely search half dollars, even since they are one of my favorite type of coin. But reading the thread about JFK Half Dollar Hunting, I will read stories like, "I found 100 40% halves!!", or, "I got skunked on 3 boxes".

So my question is for all you Half hunters, what is your median/average # of keepers per box? (silver, nifc, commemoratives, proofs) This poll does NOT want to know the number of your personal "keepers", such as hole fillers.

My sample size is small, but I average about 4 NIFCs per box. I found 3 90% and about a dozen 40% on my first box, but that's been it for me.

You did say average, if I average it all out it's about 5 per box for the last two years, realistically I get 2 per box, but I've had some 10+ ers, and only one true skunk in the last two years as well.

Oh yeah and it's been 50/50 on the 90% to 40% finds.

Yeah I probably should of said median; that might be a little more accurate.
