Seller has a few like this. Only states "replica" with 1 word in the description but not in the title.

Not sure what to think about this. I KNOW BETTER and it almost fooled me... A less knowledgeable buyer could easily buy this without realizing it is a replica.

I'm with you on ebay deceptive tactics in general, but I have to side with seller on this one. The word replica is in huge bold print in the description and that should be good enough.

Nope. Not allowed at all. He also says you can buy cheaper on his website and has a link. Also not allowed. Every single one of his listings is *eBay illegal*.

OK, guess I learned something...didn't know the listings were "illegal." Thanks.

The seller takes advantage to promote his website, that's true. However, I don't understand the statement like you do.

Setting aside the issue of ebay rules, a listing like this is certainly problematic. The reality is that after somebody buys this overpriced piece of bullion, the admission of its being a "replica" will simply disappear into the cyberspace from whence it came. Then this "replica" will be out there for years to come with subsequent seller(s) possibly not being so forthright in disclosing that it's not genuine.
