I got a 1918 Lincoln Cent in change the day after Christmas. Since I was buying something for my son, I will call it his first find.  |

Got home last night and was emptying my pocket and notice an older Lincoln Cent turned out to be a 1919! I'd have to say with the exception of roll searching that's my oldest find from circulation! |

Today (Dec. 31st): My first 2009-D LP4 business strike Cent!  I go to the Deli for lunch, and guess what's the only Cent sitting in the "Give-A-Penny, Take-A-Penny" cup? A beautiful BU 2009-D LP4, sitting reverse side up!  I replaced with it with two AU LP× Cents (1 ea. of LP2 and LP3) that I was carrying in my pocket specifically to put in "GAP-TAP" trays/cups/?... At least I managed to get one business strike LP4 Cent in the year 2009!

Today: I got 6¢ change at McDonald's. A Nickel and a Cent. They were: F12 1939 (P) Jefferson nickel and XF-40 1957-D Wheat centYes, both of them at once! |

I'm my jingle change the best has been an '85-s Proof Dime.
but old jeffs and wheatied float in once and a while too.

I got another $100 star note. It is a bit worn in the middle but not torn or tattered. Are these worth keeping as I do not do much with paper money?

To check your Star Notes, have a look here.I've had two Star Notes that seemed to be high serial #'s, but were in fact from rare 320,000 runs (that started with a high serial number)! |

Thanks, that was a great site. I found out more than I knew existed about star notes. While not rare, at least they are not counterfeit!

Today: Two 2009-D LP4 Cents. At last, I'm getting some LP4's Better yet was a BU 2009 Philadelphia LP3! I never thought I'd get a BU Philly 2009 Cent in my change.... |

Yesterday after I got home I checked my pocket change. Found a 1901 IH cent. Took it home and put it in a 2x2. It appears to be in a G-4 condition and it made my day |

I found a Virginia State Quarter in my change yesterday. People must have mistaken it for a 20 cent coin here in Australia. |
