Today was likely the luckiest day of my life in terms of obtaining coins from circulation:
It started off by running an errand for my grandpa to cash a check for him. Upon doing so, there was thirty-three cents handed to me, and the nickel had an Indian head. I was perplexed. It was the first time I was ever handed one of those in personal change. I got back to the house and my grandpa suddenly had another check he wanted deposited and he was like 'oh, you can wait until next week for this one.' I went back and in the slots they have coins in to hand to people in change, I noticed two odd coins in the dime section. I asked the teller to take a look and a 1943 steel cent that I got for only one cent. Right above it, a 1962 silver Roosie! I was then off to work and immediately found a 1950 wheat! I was super pumped there but there was more. I opened a roll at another till and TWO Wheats were inside - a 1940-S and a 1945. Later on, I ran at another register and I needed more pennies and cracked open another roll and TWO MORE Wheats were to be found. A 1954-D and a 1955-D. Six wheats in all for a total of eight collector coins. Way more finds than I generally find doing extensive roll hunting. Luckiest day ever for me with circulation finds! I will get pictures up here tomorrow.
