Welcome to the forum wrongalot.

Most coins which were plentiful when I was a kid -- Standing Liberty quarters, walking liberty halfs, Buffalo nickels -- are seldom seen anymore.

You are fortunate to have found a Buffalo nickel.

I found a 1948-D wheatie in a CoinStar machine the other day. Probably VF to XF condition. I just got back up to college a few days ago, so I need to hit up all the banks again!

Can't say why, but Kennedy Halfs are really starting to ciculate here. Got one from Walmart, and another from a convenience store.

One is 1994 D, BU.

Triggersmob, I would appreciate it if you would carefully pack up your till, hop on a plane, fly down to Victoria and then spread around your money!!!

I am still searching desperately for a 2006 $2 and 2006 50c - I am just about ready to start hitting my head on the wall!

Snooba you need to head up to the Gold Coast. I got a bunch of 2006 coins when I was up there last week. As souvenirs of my trip I have nice 5c/10c/50c/$1/$2 in 2x2's in my nice new album I got for fathers day :D. The $1 is the shiniest $1 I've ever seen, much nicer than the couple of 'unc' items I've gotten from ebay.

I've seen a decent number of the 2006 $2 here in Adelaide. If I see a nice one I'll send it across to you.

Mark

Just checking the new posts for today, and I noticed the number of "views" for this thread. Interesting number, plus it shows it has been popular.

How many views or hits? 11,111.

Snooba, 2006 $2 seems hard to find in some places. I have only seen 2. One is on it's way to Gary Burke (could be the only one in the USA) and the other is now in my collection (at last). 2006 50 cent piece is not hard to find here. I'll keep an eye out for another $2 for you.

Hi mnemtsas,
That is very kind of you, thanks. By the way, I have heaps & heaps of $1 Women's Suffrage (I am a hoarder after all) so if you ever need another, or perhaps a really shiny 2005 $1 MOR, then give me a yell!

Hi triggersmob,
Thanks very much. I found two 1995 United Nations 20c coins a few days ago, in the most beautiful condition, uncirculated really, so if you wanted one of those, I am more than happy to send one over to you.
