Triggersmob, What a neat coin!

Something of interest happened today, although unfortunately I can't claim it. I went into a convenience store and the clerk told me she had just found a "silver quarter" in the till. Of course I figured it was just a pre-1965 quarter. Turns out it was a New York proof Statehood Quarter. I have never found a proof coin in circulation. Maybe one of these days.

My two best finds in change are a Australian 1966 20 cent wavy coin and a 2000 millenium 50 cent with inclusive flag.

Deb, the metal is just coppper/nickel.

Gary, couldn't you talk the shop clerk into parting with that coin?

Karen, thanks for the e-mail, you have a reply. Thanks very much.

Your New Penny is British, I think... If I'm thinking of the right thing, it's maybe quarter sized or somewhere around in there?
