My Goodness chrycopaul, that is one beautiful coin. Is the color some sort of toning, or just a reflection?

That is just a reflection. There is no toning.

Ok, so I was buying some snacks last night and I handed the cashier $20 for about an $8 purchase. What I got back were 2 silver certs and a 1938 Wheatie. It was awesome. This happened about 2 months ago.

I often go to the local banks and ask if they have any 1 and 2 cent pieces. They are still legal tender but havent been made since 1990. People often have a small stash at home and bring them into the bank to get rid of them. The banks don't particularly want them. I get them looking for errors and varieties. Amongst the 1 cent pieces their is the usual ring-ins, e.g. New Zealand and Fiji 1 cent pieces and the occasional pfennig. But up popped this beauty. http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...hp?pos=-7315http://www.coincommunity.org/galler...hp?pos=-7314

Does anyone collect star notes? Whenever I cash in my coins I always ask the teller to check their drawer for star notes and I'm getting quite a few now (over $200 FV worth) and some in crisp condition. Is there an outlet for these? I'd like to use the proceeds from selling these star notes to fund more coin purchases.

I got my first star bill today. My sister got some money from the credit union (which she would've circulated) and it was in there. She gave it to me to repay some money she owed me. I also got my first Washington dollar from my mom (I missed out on those when they came out). Other people always find the goods. Not really too exciting but it's something.

I bought a meatball sub and got back a 1964 Jefferson nickel. It's not worth much, but more than 5 cents!
