1946 Rosevelt Dime....good cond. (my mom got it in change from shopping and asked me if I wanted it) SO IT CIRCULATED TO ME ! Alas I've still only got a 1928 Wheatie in change so far since I've been looking.

Found a Cayman Islands 1990 Elizabeth II must be a 10 cent piece because it has a 10 on it..Nice looking coin with a turtle. In searching through my purse for it, I managed to lose it 3 times, it must not want me as an owner.  Edited by Lucky_13

Today I was working the register at work and found a nice batch...1940 Jefferson nickel, a forty-something Wheatie, two fifty-something Wheaties and a absolutely stunning 1984-S Jefferson proof! That's the first proof coin I've ever managed to pull from circulation (change or rolls). I saw it as a customer handed it too me and thought "wow that's shiny, must be a 2007". I tossed it in the draw (we were real busy and it wouldn't have been right to stop and examine it) and everytime I open the register my eye was drawn to the shine coming from it. I finally checked it out and almost screamed I was so excited haha. Turned a typical, pathetic day into an amazing one |

I was at the supermarket today and glanced at the coinstar machine. I walked a few steps closer and notice what looked like a dime on the ground. I picked up coin and saw it was a 2000 5 pence.

received a Series 1993 $20 bill after cashing my paycheck the other day. Put it aside because I hadn't seen one of the older $20s in years. I hate the look of the new ones.

Ive looked through 7200 nickels in the last week and my finds have been pretty good. 4 War Nickels (3 different dates) 2 Buffalo nickels (1919 and 1929-D) oh about 30 pre 1950 nickels (i only keep them if they are older than 1950) A bunch of BU coins from the 1960s A very nicely toned nickel (rainbow) 1964 nickel that had a stamped S above the building kinda like a War NickelSo there was some pretty good stuff. I took me about 8-9 hours all together. |

I was at a gun show a week ago and a guy had some silver coins laying in this display case. I asked him how much he wanted for the misc. silver coins. He said 7 bucks, I said 6. He said okay and he put them in a bag for me and I left. I did not really look at them until I got out the door. I got a couple quarters and then saw a 1914-s Barber quarter. I was so happy! |

14-S quarter, wow, that is an awesome find. I only need 14-S and the big three for my one Barber quarter set. 14-S is 4th toughest. |

Thanks, I was so happy when I realized what I got. I do not have anywhere near a full collection yet but I am trying to get semikey and key dates of a few different types of coins, then plan on filling in the more commons.

My brother knows I collect coins. Mostly Morgans, but he came over the other day with some coins he got in China last year. A Barber quarter, 4 Buffalo nickles, (no dates readable) a '56 D wheatie, a repro 1876 Trade dollar, and a repro 1896 French coin. (Not sure if the French is repro or real) Said he paid a buck for all of them. |

I was going thru my first bag of $50 in pennies from the bank trying to find wheaties  to complete some albums for my dad's grandchildren. I came across a 1970 S small date and several other wheaties! I was happy with that! Being a newby it doesn't take much to excite my heart! ha I am reading everything I can get my hands on about coins and collecting! It's harder ( learning about and remembering what is important with coin collecting)than nursing school was! |
