I just got a 40% silver 1967 half dollar in my "change" today. Actually looks AU, no wear and has ALL original luster.

so I finially finish my bank box of cents
but I was only looking for wheaties, going to look for errors as soon as I get my mircoscope. I have about 11 wheaties, with 1919 as the oldest and 1945 as the most common.
HOPE I find a bunch of errors

I've gotten so accustomed to brightly colorful note, I find these new $5 dull. BORING The Mint should have taken the hint from those countries    mila_ |

I got two LHC's in change today, one 1972 and one 1973. Not really spectacular, I just found it interesting that I got consecutive dates on two 35+ year cents.  Maybe someone cashed in a date set?  |

I found a 1934d 5 dollar bill last night  I know barely nothing about currency-collecting, but it appears to be in pretty good shape too. Its got the standard fold down the middle when a bill is placed in a wallet, but no rips or tears or anything serious. Anyone else noticing a ever-growing increase in the "older" bills lately? Over the past 2 months or so, I've been spotting bills from $5-50 dating back 20+ years all the time. It seems like every week the number grows. The '34 is by far the oldest, but I did manage a $10 1985 star note last week sometime. --gary |

Not necessarily a find in circulation, but a guy came thru the Drive Thru today and as he was paying for his food he included a 1947 peso from Mexico. The cashier called me over and showed it to me. I told the guy I couldn't except it for payment of the food but I would give him $1 for it, which he accepted. What is really neat about this is the owner of the company was right beside me at the time and he was laughing about it. I've worked for this company for over 20 years but it's still good to know that he has no problem with me "watching" for good coin as the day goes by. Now, I wonder just how much I got took for OR how well I did  |

Not from circulation, but still a great find. We have had our youngest son do some moving of furniture for us, and today he moved a bed. Under the bed was a coin I must have lost years ago -- a 1926 Standing Liberty quarter! |

Been a long drought for me in finding a worthy "coin from circulation"...........two 1976 $2.00 bills are all I've discovered recently.
