A guy at work said his wife came up with a silver Roosevelt and tried to use it in a vending machine. It got kicked out but she needed it to work to keep from breaking a dollar so she sent it through time after time but the machine wouldn't take it. I guess she finally spent the dollar and when she got home she threw the dime at him and was ranting about it being a fake. He was laughing when he explained the problem but he said he thanked her for the silver.

Was given some coins the other week from a friend that did a trip to the States. Amongst the coins was a 1935 Indian Head 5c, pretty worn and this one. Can I assume it maybe a clashed die, around the neck area.

I had a really good day today. I bought change for work and on the end of one roll of nickels was a Buffalo nickel, buffalo facing out. I tore that roll apart LOL. The Buffalo was a no date. Also in that roll was a 1947 nickel. While counting down one of the drawers I found a 1952 nickel. While working a register this afternoon I found a 1968 Canadian nickel. And finally, about 10 minutes before leaving, a kid walked in and paid for a couple burgers with all change. Amidst that change was a 1943s Mercury dime in Fine condition. Boy wouldn't I like to have more days like today!

Man !....I wish our customers paid for their metal buildings in change !...(actually we had a customer pay in cash one time !....I think he was evading Uncle Sam or something..small bldg....about $30,000.00 plus..)...but I don't get to deal with cash or change with my job....dang it !.....Only when I buy something throughout the day! My mother SPENT a Mercury dime the other day on accident she said !.....I was in a state of grief for sure! Of course she didn't remember the date or mintmark......she was saving it for me and FORGOT !

I found three 2005 Sacagawea dollars in rolls of " Presidential dollars" that didn't contain very many prez dollars. I kept them just because they were NIFC, although I really don't like them
