o be honest I thought it would take 2-3 weeks to sell out and that would have been fast. Instead it went 4 1/2 days!
BTW...with the new Mint website "out of stock" doesn't necessarily mean "sold out". In some cases they are just getting more packaging together..50k would be a lot to sell in a few days...
We'll see....
It does NOT say sold out....

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they just need to put together more sets. Might not be sold out but it didn't take long to sell everyone they had assembled. Will the mint be posting the numbers sold today?

All I know is that there are a lot of people speculating on this one and buying huge numbers of sets (in the hundreds) which would eat up 50,000 pretty fast

The mint just added a remind me button on this set, might not be done yet!

The obverse has two distinct finishes and the reverse has three so the reverse is actually more "enhanced " than the obverse
I still find it REALLY strange that there was no mention of this special finish in and of the promos or the Mint description of the coin,,,,

The mint was being sneaky on this one. I think it was no accident that the enhanced description was left out. They got the buzz they wanted and didn't allow the flippers and big dealers get the jump on buying them all up. A good idea to handle in this manner for a low cost product. Coin news net has a detailed description of the enhanced parts of this coin. They will have a video coming out shortly. They said plain pictures didn't do this coin justice.

I'm wondering if the mint was using this coin as a test since it is different than other EUs. By not hyping the coin, the risk of being overwhelmed with returns would be much lower. I also think since it is so late in the year with all of the holidays still pending, there might not be any more struck. By the original description of this set, you would get a regular D mint coin & a $1 bill with fancy packaging. They would have a hard time selling a couple of thousand sets. Since the new site & warehouse are blazing fast compared with the old process, the mint might not of thought word would get out so quick.

I received some of my sets today. Quality is not bad with most coins looking good except for some rim dings.
The $1 bill is, well, a $1 bill
Three of my sets came without the sleeve tat the set is contained in...

Is anyone aware of anything special about the dollar bill?

@Foxwoods... I am hoping they come back for sale I wouldn't mind getting one. Unfortunately I noticed the enhanced last weekend and just didn't jump the gun on it. Now I regret and hope I can at least get one.
