Go out a grab a copy of "A guide book for
United States coins" for 2015. It is called the "
Red Book". Read through and check each coin by it. An aquaintance once brought me his hoard before he was going to go out and sell it about 10 years back. He had an 1893-S Barber half and with my
Red Book told him this one is worth more than the others, as an example. Good to know before you go to a dealer.
Do not clean, dip or polish any of the coins, btw. Good luck and have fun!
