here's a bunch of asian bargain bin coins I've purchases recently. range in price from 4-12 bucks including getting them shipped to me.

first, the chach coins. the chach people were somewhat of an offshoot of the sogdians, they lived in what is today kazakhstan. they have many coins, lumped into the "pre-islamic asian" catagory.

this one is a related coin from bukhara, shows heavy sassanian influence and has a sogdian legend. but being after the arab conquest of the area, also has an arabic legend. lots of cultural influence on just one coin.

and a couple from china..

the ban liang coin set the style for chiese coinage until the early 20th century. here's a "wu fen ban liang", based on the size, being rimless, crude, and having a large hole . the "wu fen" means "5 part", it's a smaller denomination that is 1/5 of a regular ban liang coin.

Doing some preservation on the top two or leaving them as they are?

Well, Wang Mang declared that the Xin ("New") dynasty was a new dynasty. He deposed the child emperor that he was puppeting for and established his new dynasty. So, yes, it can be argued that it was a "dynasty," though a short one.

PS. Nice ancient Chinese purchases. I like those pre-225 AD coins.

PPS. I also like the alliterations in your title.
