Imo, the colour-printing makes this inexpensive series more cheap.
The maple leafs, that close to sides (rim) look not bad, reminds the 1-st coin in series. But then comes the Flag, nice idea, but purely done.
And in addition to silver content conversation - now 1/4oz cost $25?

I misread it... it seems like this is the only one that is $25 for $25. The rest of the subscription is $20 for $20

I think we need to wait a little while for more information to be provided by the RCM. I fear they got a little ahead of themselves by announcing this sub so early.

I have been collecting the entire 20 for 20 series since the beginning, and was hoping it would end in 2014. I told myself that I would not pursue this series if it continued past 2014, given the not so great looking coins lately. Now they come up with this $25 dollar coin, which I like! So guess what? I subscribed!

5 extra loons for a bit of spray paint? Outrageous!
And why no notice from the rep on this?

We don't need advanced notice on something that will be available for weeks.

I got burned last year with this subscription, they charged shipping on it, but halfway through the year they made it free shipping. But they didn't change the existing subscriptions and refused to refund me the shipping charges for the last two coins.
This subscription doesn't say free shipping, but when you checkout there is no shipping charge, so I went ahead and subscribed.
But what a strange thing to do, change the denomination of one coin in a series known for its denomination...

Didn't say we needed advanced notice but it is something I expect from my rep if he expects me to order through him. And it was a rhetorical.

To stick with their own established 20/4/20... this $25 coin should have increased in weight to 5/16th of an ounce. I'm disappointed that they didn't make it a piedfort for the series...though minimally... keep the diameter... but still give us the extra 1/4 of 1/4 of an ounce.
Then again.. $25 per 0.25 ounce is right in line with their 100/4/100 at 1 ounce, $50 coin at 1/2 ounce, and $200 coin at 2 ounces. It is the 20/4/20's that were under priced ;)

I ordered my 3 through my rep. The other 3 coins in the sub will be the regular $20 for $20 coins. This is what my rep had replied. She suggested if I didn't like the others, I could cancel sub. It will be a nice start to 2015. I figure $75 will not break the bank! I live that the denomination is different and it's color. I can see it being a Krause nomination 2 yrs down the road, just like the 2011 canoe was.
@ Lostwords : your aren't blind I didn't see Mintage either. Or maybe we are both blind?

I contacted RCM, the mintage is 225k on the coloured one, which I think is too much, should have been 200k or less but will still buy.

R4mn33K. Just knew the mintage was going to be high since they didn't post it. You've confirmed my suspicion. Got a subscription anyway as I like the Canadian flag coin.
