My sense is - because it is different, it will be popular. The only colourized coin of the series, will it have a COA like the first of the series. Pretty smart call on the part of the Mint as far as I'm concerned, you get to celebrate the anniversary of the Flag and charge $25.00 for 1/4 ounce bullion coin that normally goes for $20.00. And as stated, it would be nice to know the mintage, likely a minimum 200,000.

I am a sucker for this series though, and I will subscribe as it is very affordable and some of the designs have been great, Canoe, Polar Bear, Wolf, Goose, Bobcat, Iceberg whales, not so keen on the cartoonish Christmas themes but I know there are those that are fans. It is nice to get the order automatically. So the series stands at 14 and will be 18 at the end of 2015. Would be nice to have a custom box.

Got a subscription anyway as I like the Canadian flag coin.

Guys, do you subscribe to the series, just because like the first coin?

Why not, just to wait, when this specific coin will be available, and then just to buy it?
Or contact the Rep and buy this coin only....

As in most cases, following the marketing rules, first available the set, and only after it's fractions.

I don't think it's appropriate for the series and I'll stop buying the 20 for 20 series at the end of the year. Back to one oz rounds.

@Silveroid. Subscribed to this series for my grandchildren. Every coin tells a story and is a teaching tool for my small grandchildren. The other coins in the series are not expensive to collect for all of them. I have 5 grandchildren. Hopefully we will like the other coins in the series too.

I bought a couple of the 2013 Maple leaf coins (1/2 ounce leaves in hand) for $39.00 each from Canada Post. I think that they are great. Comparing them to a 1/8th ounce $25 dollar coin may not work but I'm doing it anyway. I'll skip the $25 for $25.

Don't get me wrong, Canada flags are awesome (I mean it) but I like most everyone else must be selective where I spend my collectable dollars.
kindest regards,
Liverpool

Now it's clear. Hope, they will enjoy.
Cause sometime people write "bought N coins" ... I do not know, I probably curious too much.

@Liverpool:
I so agree with you.
The "Maple Leaf Forever" 1/2oz coins 2011-2014 (hope they will continue) one of my favorite "strong" series.

I would buy/subscribe to the next $20-4-$20 coin anyways as I started collecting with the first coin from this series. But now, with this perk, it became just awesome!

I had a chance to talk on the ph with my rep, regarding this coin, demand is high, currently they are enforcing strict limit of 3. It's 1st coin in subscription. I'm not taking the chance this coin sells out, and singles aren't sold. I also don't want to pay a premium somewhere else!! It's hard to believe the snowman is already sold out. I dragged my heels on it, and now I'm crossing my fingers my rep can get me 2.
Who would of thought a Christmas design would sell out this quick? Many of the other designs are available. So I'm not taking any chances! I can always cancel the subs later.
Plus it's the cheapest silver coin the RCM makes. I can get 4-5 coins for the price of 1 1oz coin! Why not?

I'm 500% sure they won't sell out 200,000 subscriptions (or 250,000) and that the single coin will be available at issue price.

I'm hope your correct Arianzo, weird things sometimes happens over there @ RCM. This topic was just posted today and already 2 pages, it shows there's interest in this design. The more I look at it the more I like it. I could live with 5-10 coins. I doubt I will get this many. It's just my imagination at play.

If this is what they're doing on a 27mm coin, a 1 Oz coin could be very impressive!!
I wonder if they will use the flag again for the proof set?

The snowman was a fast sell out, as it was $20 from the mint and free shipping, although people probably won't make much premium out of it, it still costs to ship it out and mint is the only one who does it for free, so if someone wants it, they will have to pay a premium above $20 which will go to shipping, packaging/ebay fees maybe. Getting the coin from the mint is the cheapest way and also a lot of these are probably sold to dealers which sell for above issue. Most Canadapost outlets have these $20for$20 coins at $25, they make $5 since people pick it up, Others selling this cannot make money but it is a good collectible to have, as it is one thing that is guaranteed to not be available for a discount anywhere else. I will be getting 3 of these for sure, with free shipping, plus helps towards MC, and with cashback it's actually below issue.

will disagree with this approach.
You can buy many useless things for the price of some beautiful 1oz coin. Collecting 20for20 not useless, but this is one of the cases why sum of many "small" just doesn't worth 1 "big".

Ask commems about Canada Flag enameled Silver Dollar, you will see, why this painted $20 not a "big deal".

I like it, and am happy it's the same diameter of the other coins - it's not about the silver content or whether or not they can be cashed in at the bank, I surely can cash in at RCM if necessary - I only buy one of each and I collect them for display purposes they look cool. When my Grand-Daughters Great Grand-Children get these in a 150 years they'll be overjoyed...:)
