On the subject of sellers of fake coins here is a seller to be wary of.

(I know that the coin is not pre-1600 but I think that the members should be aware of the seller in this case and not the coin).

item no 141466109646

Because of the ;rarity' of the 'half-cent' coin the bidding is already over $2000

You'll find the identical fake for sale, straight from the China source, on aliexpress.com.
For $1.71 (they're on sale!)

See also another item of his, a "Flying Eagle"
item number 141466095534 that is over $8000

Thanks for the heads up, but this is not the right forum. I'm moving this to the Main Coin section.

I dont know this type and wouldn't recognise a fake, but I suppose that is what you get for bidding on a coin picturing a guy carrying a huge shroom.

So TC, are you the first one to spot this fake and are you going to try to make the seller and then ebay take notice?
