To all my collector or Investor friends.
I wish I had a lot of extra money.

Time to get in the bidding mode.

Washington State bank unclaimed safe deposit box contents up for bids. These have been held for close to 10yrs and not claimed of ASE 1oz, to 20oz and lots of them. Canadian Sets also 733 lots to bid on.

There is a web page for them. Go online for info and pics.

Date of Nov 19th and 20th

James G Murphy Auction Co. Bothell Wa

Including a supposed Picasso paintings and drawings. I have bought cars and different things from them and they seem reputable.
If close to Bothell there is a preview for 2 days prior. I might drive up just to drool at some of the items. I'm surprised how many people left items in boxes and not retrive or tell an heir or ? about the box.

Good Luck
Gary

They do have a online bidding that I forgot to add.

Also if I put this in the wrong area. Feel free to move it for the best coverage.

I thought the same thing. That would be nice to get a closer look at the lots. I cant believe the folks left all this stuff and had no one to leave it to. I may go on a sight seeing tour. I'm not to far from there

Typically the coins in these unclaimed item auctions sell for well more that they are worth.

That is incredible. So much stuff left behind. I feel sorry for the families that should have inherited this stuff.

Don't feel too bad, the heirs can still claim the proceeds of the sales.

I guess if I lived by there I would check it out but people love over paying for silver at a live auction. I still see eagles selling at $22 per and thats like $6 over right now. People just get that auction fever, though I will admit from suffering from that.

True but family heirlooms or important documents, family photos etc are gone for good. And if for some reason they sell for less than the market value they lose there too.

Never could figure out how so many people have safe deposit boxes or those storage lockers and no member of their family knows. By me too once a year the State has a massive sale in the lobby of the State Building for that stuff that has been abandoned. And there is a listing in a newspaper with all the names that were listed as owners. That list too is sometimes thousands of names long. At that sale there is almost anything possible. Usually coins, stamps and other collectibles are grabbed by dealers fast.

We get a show on TV here about people going and looking at storage sheds and then auctioning for what's in them, kind of a lucky dip thing. Its very Hollywood and I do wonder about its authenticity but entertaining nonetheless, some amazing stuff is just sitting there abandoned. if I had spare money I would certainly give it a go, the closest I come is buying up coin collections and hoping I will get some nice rare coins in the mix.
