Just won this on the 'Bay so these are the seller's photos. Has that great woody eye appeal to it. I'll post better photos once I get it and I'm hoping it looks even better in person. Only paid $55 for this and I think I got a pretty good deal.

Not trying to burst your bubble but when a seller explicitly describes a coin with, "Has Hairlines", it generally scares off serious bidders. That said it doesn't appear harshly cleaned in the images and with apparent VF details, $55 is likely a fair price. Let us know how it looks in-hand.

Ah, I figured they were referring to the 'woody' look when they said hairlines. Ouch. Didn't think it was cleaned. If it is cleaned (which I'll be able to tell once I get it) it'll be the first in a while that I got duped on.

VF25-30

I don't believe those are "hairlines" - just wood graining. IMO, you stole that coin for $55, I think it's $150 coin!

Yep, methinks seller mis-described the coin, which was your gain. Nice woodie

Thanks everyone for the comments. Glad I went with my gut on this one because I'm very pleased on how it looks. Here's some quick photo I took after it arrived.

Very nice purchase! I think you got one heck of a deal on it!

Maybe the seller truly thought the wood grain was a cleaning, and sold it at a discounted price.

As for the grade, I would say around VF-30.
