Can't see anything wrong with it.
Has a sharp tool been used in cleaning?
Maybe, there seem to be traces of that visible in the hair of Roma.

Nice coin, with normal wear and untouched.

I say fine earlier style with honest ware. It has been completely cleaned weight seems consistent with they type. I suppose it now comes down to, what are you looking for in a coin. Are you looking for something with better surfaces, more reverse detail, are you looking for a RR type. The reason why I ask is because there are far more interesting RR coins. Not that this not a nice piece but there are so many of these RR with a basic ROMA obverse with and Mounted Unit reverse you could probably do better with the same money. I would suggest looking for the more interesting RR coins and then making the necessary concessions. (Budget vs. condition/rarity/appeal/type)

It's a nice example, and I don't see any signs of anything being off about it. I really like Republican denarii and I'd be more than happy to add that one to my collection, especially due to its age.
