1921 Mercury dime Obverse Die Clash

After reading a thing on Mercury dimes on David Lawrence blog I was drawn to a image of a strong 1921 obverse die clash.

The idea of a semi-key and variety combo sounded like a fun challenge. And to fulfill my OCD(not literally)need to find any variety that catches my fancy. I'm sure you know that feeling.

So I looked and looked and looked some more for a few weeks now and finally found a similar one...

not sure if anyone else will like as too some the clash might take away from the semikey date, to me just makes it that much cooler

this thing I read
http://blog.davidlawrence.com/index...s-ch-6-1921/
this is the coin that caught my fancy

I will add better photos when coin is in hand.

Was still a slightly better coin then my current 1921 not sure how they market grade something like this.

OK, you and I are completely in agreement on the "cool factor" involved here.

Nice finds man. I like clashes. I don't think it takes much away from a coin, but adds character. Not everyone sees it that way though.
