The Four Seasons set is part of the modern craze for limited edition silver collector coins produced by private mints under contract to various countries and quazi-independent political entities. In this case the Helvetic Mint designed, manufactured, packaged, advertised and distributed the coins as a profit making venture for "Andorra". Andorra is a micro nation between Spain and France which has no circulating currency of its own. The Euro is used and Andorra has the authority to issue its own Euro designs.

I would classify the 4 seasons 5 Denar coins as medals not true coins. They are popular now with innovative artwork but my fear is that they represent a marketing bubble that is supported only by collector popularity. Collectors are fickle if nothing else and items like this on the secondary market always tend toward silver melt value eventually.

They are very pretty but a price of 250 Euros for less than 3 ounces of silver seems far too high.
