I agree with you , who say he had never been fooled & can't never be fooled , have been severale times fooled & are ashamed to admit it :-) by mistake we'll learn the right. the 8 reales Dos Mundos 1770 which I'm talking about here is graded VF by the dealer ( I have no knowledge on this subject of coin's grades, nor how can a coin be graded ) , nice silver 900 , weight 27,1 gr , diameter 39 mm . the dealer is one friend of me who's not asking first not more than 200 USD then agreed to give it to me at 170 USD hand to hand. there are somes pictures taken by me , excuse poor quality , I have do my better to give you best views but unfortunatly that's the maximum what my "outdated" gsm camera can offer to me :-) I'll try to buy best camera next time ... swamperbob Pillar of the Community United States 5362 Posts	Posted 11/23/2014 3:30 pm Basically it is impossible to produce an accurate opinion based on what I see. The edge is well impressed so it is very unlikely to be a modern cast copy. I can not rule out other types of forgery. I checked Heritage auctions and the grade is about correct. The price is on the low side. However, if you presume the coin would only net grade due to cleaning the price would be in the $250 range. So I am keeping a very open mind on this coin at present.
