I found this nice one in a park in Illinois in 1976. I didn't realize it was a die set #2 type until the mid 1990s. I took it to a coin show and had it graded and slabbed by SEGS. It came back as a 1922 Plain Lincoln Cent Die Set #2 AU 50 with corrosion.

Any ideas what this might be worth today?

Thanks in advance for your comments!

I don't know about value, there are several cent guys that'll be around. What hooked me was that this was found in a park, wonderful!

I wish I could have seen it the day it was dropped! Also I have always wondered if there may have been more at the bank in the small town it came from.

Try getting it graded by PCGS! Its definitely worthy of being slabbed by a FIRST tier TPG!

As for grade, PCGS would give it XF-Details.

Value? Somewhere between $400-1200

A cleaned XF details PCGS sold for $2500 this past year at auction, but one with details corroded would be much less IMO.
