Is it just me or does the first picture show as purple stamps?

Yeah, the stamps were at the Mint and somehow involved with the incident which created this rare error. The seller is throwing them in to make it a set.

I just sent seller a message telling him to use some acetone to remove the glue and the penney image would disappear. LOL

I'd offer him 22 cents for the lot but I don't think the seller would go for that.

Those must be rare disappearing/reappearing stamps because they're there one minute, gone the next.

The seller answered me and has pulled the auction. He seemed honestly sorry that he didn't realize it wasn't real.

""Thank you for pointing that out to me. I feel like an idiot, but at least it's not a costly one. Item will be deleted post haste as I am not into ripping anyone off. Geez and I sell coins all the time. But had never seen one like this and examined it under 30 power and still didn't make the connection it was glue. Thank you so much for saving me from a bit of embarrassment.""

That's good to find an honest seller.

I always like it that after the auction ends, I go to the page and it says:

"You missed out on this item"
