Bought it for $15 at LCS. It came from 925 bucket; but it is not proof.

Is it silver or cupro-nickel? The reeded edge is shiny, though.

Hi Leon1998

According to Krause this coin exists in silver with and without a proof finish, and in cupro-nickel (non-proof).

I've got the cupro-nickel version. This was more or less the start of the Pobjoy Mint's huge Isle of Man coin avalanche!

Which killed off any numismatic interest in the dependency for a lot of collectors.

I didn't know there exists a non-proof silver issue.

Thank you very much for the information, NumisRob!

I don't classify it as a coin and it won't appear in UK numismatic publications.
