OK....so I missed the new $ set for $13.95 from the mint as it is already sold out so I had to pick one up tonight on ebay...but that got me thinking, does anyone know how many different "enhanced uncirculated" coins there are? I tried a search and several came up listed that way, including many that I knew wasn't what I was looking for.

As far as I know, the whole "Enhanced Uncirculated" thing was introduced in the 2013 American Eagle West Point Two-Coin Silver Set and has only been seen once more in the 2014 50th Anniversary Kennedy Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collection. So that would be two coins, period.
Unless, of course, I just haven't been paying close enough attention...

Also...it is not listed as sold out just "out of stock".
There is a link on the Mint site to be notified when they get more ready for sale...

"Enhanced Uncirculated" seems to be just another marketing term, to my way of thinking. That is despite the fact that there may be some different way in which the coin is finished.
Similar with synthyetic gemstones. The marketing term 'created' seems to have caught on, despite the fact that they are still nevertheless synthetic.
Perhaps I may be a little too cynical, but also perhaps a small amount of cynicism may be a good thing.

After just reading the above post I pulled my Kennedy's out and looked at them again; and finally noticed the difference between the three coins (aside from the 'reverse proof' one). Over the past month I looked at them many times and really could not figure out what was different, aside from the mint marks, between the three 'normal' coins. It's not much, but they are different. My eyes have always been bad (even before Kennedy was president), so that might be the main reason for my inability to see subtle differences in coins. What I think is different is the 'color' of the 'head' area; it being more 'pale' than the other two. If there are other reasons, please let me know so I can check again. Yes, it probably is mainly a marketing term to get four coins in the set instead of just three, but all four ARE DIFFERENT, even if mildly different.

Nice to have my $27.90 gamble pay off! I was ordering Sand Dunes and Everglades "S" rolls anyway, so I added two of the C&C Sets to my order. Unlike many times in past years, the C&C Sets were not delayed and are in the same package (tracking #) as the "S" rolls.

As I explained here, the enhanced uncirculated S mint half dollar looks more proof than uncirculated when comparing it directly to the D mint (uncirculated) half dollar, and looks more uncirculated than proof when comparing it directly to the P mint (proof) half dollar.

Enhanced? Makes me wonder if there will now be an AL = Almost Enhanced, EH = Extra Enhanced, And all the other possibilities. So we have P, G, F, EF, EX, AU, UNC, etc., etc., etc. Possibly one more reason to start an entire new grading system in a 100 digit system. And decimals too.

The 2013-W Enhanced ASE shows how the fields should have looked on the 2014-S Enhanced JFK. Instead, those JFK's look to me like a hazed 1970's Proof coin just freed from its OGP...

Have you guys seen that they are giving the EU Kennedy's DMPL designations? With uncirculated fields how does that not conflict with how the coin should look

My Enhanced Kennedys are the farthest thing from "Deep Mirror Proof Like", heck my fogged-up bathroom mirror reflects more than they do...

Are you talking about something you saw on ebay AKA the Wild Wild West where a seller can claim anything they want and it is gospel since you can ban them or get their auctions pulled? Just one of hundreds of scammers and AT rip off artists out there. As stated previously there have only been 2 legit EU coins to date. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-W-SILV...em2c91ec6b96
