Neat promotion! I wonder how they determine which coins were the ones they released into the wild? Perhaps photos to match them up.

My coin club did something similar to this at the GNA show. They threw a 1914 D LWC into circulation and offered a cash prize for it.

This has made me recall some contests sponsored by our local newspaper when I was a kid. The paper would print serial numbers from one dollar bills that were placed in local stores (that coincidentally advertised with the paper). So people would shop and come home to check their change and evening paper to see if they had a winner.

I don't recall what the prizes were, but every day there were dozens of numbers listed. I remember going over that list every day until the contest ended.
