Hi all,

I don't have access to any grading services in my country. I own a SLQ 1917D Type 1 that I am curious how would it grade. I'd appreciate any help that I can get from you and your experience with grading services. Could you *roughly* guess how would it grade? Pictures don't do it justice - it's even more beautiful in real life - but they are the best I have.

Thanks in advance!

Love the luster present in the protected area.

I am at AU58. The right leg, from the thigh past the kneecap is slightly flattened. Shield is also slightly flattened as well.

This might get into an MS slab, but believe it is an AU.

This might help as well:

A lovely coin, showing no reason to question its' authenticity. I have to call it AU55; just a little bit too much wear to offer AU58 but eye appeal is off the charts. AU SLQ's are among my all-time favorites, and this one is right up there with the good ones.

Great photos of an outstanding coin.

I'm viewing enough minor circulation rub that I cannot call this MS ... going with the consensus at mid-AU.

Lovely coin ... Thanks for sharing from Serbia.

I really like it, and want one bad. I'll defer to the more experienced on the grading.

Thanks everyone for comments, I really appreciate it. This is my best coin in the collection. It's really hard to collect USA coins in Serbia, but it's also a game in the long run so I have many years to enjoy.

Unfortunately the wear brings it down to AU. But the eye appeal is out of this world, I would call the eye appeal at 64-65
