So we picked this up over the weekend. Couldn't help but show it off!

excellent piece, seems genuine, notice the rim looks unscathed and there are no real vice or pressure marks. Very nice, however, some of us might want to see the rim, could you do that?
Is there any rust or discoloration at all?

It isn't round. Can somebody explain that? Or is photo badly cropped?

If It was round - I would be very suspicious of it being legit. Not being round is merely a function of the coin being broadstruck - looks like only a small part of it was in contact with the collar die. Is it reeded on the rim at 1 o'clock (obverse)? I am convinced that this is 100% legit. Nice coin!!

SPP: I've already told Frank to roll the red carpet out for ya ;)
VancouverIsland: Apologies for not getting back sooner, been busy at the store this week. I'll take some photos of the rim for you on Monday!

Universalcoins: I have not seen Frank since the late summer, when I popped by on my motorbike... did Frank even take his bike out this past summer?
Unfortunately, I cannot pop by the shop tomorrow. Please tell Frank that I'll find that coin a nice home (or have him email me, as to which week days he'll be in the shop).

The coin has a nice new home now... and it was a pleasure sitting and chatting with Frank... definitely will have to arrange a motorcycle ride with him next summer.

Just out of curiosity Roger, what would you grade the coin? The pictures don't really tell the story. Thanks.

MS-64 red, or better. I am considering adding it to my next batch of errors to go to PCGS...
