I want to auction off three 20 for 20 coins at my collectors' club auction to raise some money for Newf and Sasanian coins. Is $75 a good place to put the opening bid?
All 3 are still attached to their envelopes and I think the 3 are the canoe, polar bear and Queen's anniversary.

You are probably better off going at 3 listings for $25, it will likely attract more interested parties that are looking to fill their sets. You might get a little higher for the canoe, but he queen and bear are probably right around $25, depending on shipping. That is the average price I have gotten for those coins (earlier this year), but they did not sell when bundled and at $25 they took a couple weeks.

$75 is the actual price if you buy from a dealer. So, more than that will be expensive.

I like the break it up idea. As long as I get $60.01 I will be happy. Hey, I ALLWAYS make a profit

If you plan to return the money and get the $60 - just bring them to bank.
And $75 could be the maximum reasonable price for these 3 coins. Well, depends on shipping charge.

No shipping charge, just a bunch of men that get together from New Brunswick and Maine to talk and sell in a community center. I do not deal with NCLT, these were a subscription gift and I cleared this with the gifter so I do not care what I get.

I think the best idea would be to start the bidding under face since these coins are so easy to get and are nclt. Remember, people are attracted to deals and if 2 people need them for a set youre gonna get at least face for them. I'm thinking you should start around $45-50. Besides, how often do you see any thing at auction starting at full cat?

I know on ebay Solds on these are $30-$33 on ebay as these are the earlier releases. This is from ebay Solds and not from people being savy and looking for deals. Of course anyone on this forum or RDF won't pay more than FV, however, were not the entire buying community. I've seen them go as high as $40 at times. The canoe is a COTY coin, so you may want to mention this. I do think doing the auction for them separately could be beneficial as some people may be interested in 1 design and not the other.

In the last month I sold one of each of those $20 for $20's on ebay on Buy it Nows. Got $28.99 for the canoe, $24.99 for the Polar Bear, and $23.99 for the Queen (plus $2-3 shipping). Why the different prices? I saw that the canoe, being the second in the series, sells for a bit more than the others. $75 for all three is fair, but like others said I'd break them up and sell them individually.

I agree, breaking them up is more likely to sell. You need roughly 15% above face just to break even on ebay and paypal (plus shipping).
