It makes me cringe seeing all these nice coins jammed together.

This same item was for sale before and there was a thread about this. Apparently either the buyer backed out or it was perhaps a shill. Just a bunch of BS in my opinion.

Such obvious sucker bait... At least the other ones weren't quite so obvious....

To the right of the CC ten is a CC Morgan $. To the left is a CC Liberty Seated dime and also a $3 gold piece. It appears he is putting coins in the jar which probably will not grade at a TPG service and hoping someone will get big eyes for the jar and buy it. An 1876 double dime and 1932 quarter are also visible. I am surprised that he keeps placing his one piece of currency in such a fashion it blocks the view of the coins behind it. He does not realize that most people who stash coins and currency in a jar would not place the bill in a jar like this. If anyone of the 22 people watching this listing had any common sense they would realize the coins were deliberately placed in the jar to elicit bids.

I think the guy got the idea for this by watching what happened with the "Saddle Ridge Hoard" of gold coins or is a close buddy with the guy selling "original" paper crimped rolls of Morgan dollars. This is nothing but marketing 101. The 22 watchers are watching to see which idiot hits the "buy" button.

Well, I'm glad that nobody "won" that last auction. He's starting with a pretty high BIN now, which might discourage a lot of people--good.

Anyone who has $8000 to spend on a jar of unknown coins probably will not miss it.

Looks like he accepted a "Best Offer" of 3600$ for it.
So...... we now know that what's in it isn't worth 7800$ OR 3600$!
I'm sure he'll pop up another from his home made "hoard" within a day or two.

If it were possible to check the seller's recently bought items, I'll bet you'd find some of the stuff he put in that jar...
