Just wondering about this coin. Does the scratch make it non-gradable? Thanks in advance!

to the CCF. I'm no pro on grading these, but I'm thinking AU-details for the graffiti. Let's see what others have to say. -MV

Thanks for the reply MV!
The rest of the coin looks pretty darn good. Better than most that I've seen.
I'm anxious to see what others will say.

It's was like a horror movie at first. I looked at it and didn't notice anything wrong for a second then I was like omg some one was angry.
t's definitely would have a details grade wheter the damage is too much to grade I'm not sure.

Horror movie! That's pretty funny!
Yep, the scratches are interesting. I was thinking that since they are not touching anything that is real important, it might be considered more than melt value.

I would say it is definitely worth a significant premium over melt, it is in nice condition otherwise and has attractive eye appeal.

Thanks Arael!
What would you say that it could be worth and what grade?

I'm at XF45. Not sure if it would grade. My guess is no since the scrtach is so significant

Thanks panzaldi! I got it recently from an ebay auction for less than $25. I liked it as soon as I saw it, just curious about how well I did getting it. I was surprised and a bit suspicious that the bids did not go higher. Regardless, I still really like it!

What a shame that would have been a very nice early date Walker. The 'scratch' really takes away from the eye appeal EF details

Hey Shafta
That is the same thing that I thought. I just kept looking at the rest of the coin and said "What the hey, I'm getting it.".
If the scratch was not there, I probably could not afford it.
Thank you for your input!

Overall, it is an XF/AU early walker, which do have premiums over melt. The scratch will take most of that premium away though IMHO.

I think it is a solid AU, just too bad about the scratches.
non gradable, but still a nice early walker....my favorite coin!
If you like it, that's all that counts.

Thanks RK55!
Yes, I do really like it. The scratch just adds charcter. It is a one-of-a-kind.
I do not like the others that I have seen that are severly worn. This one was cheap and it still has beautiful details. Buy the coin not the grade.
It is in an air-tite and with my other Walkers.
Thanks again for your reply!
