Was taking pictures of this coin to list it on ebay when I noticed that the letters in Five Cents are doubled on the reverse. Let me know what you guys think. Can be seen very clearly in the C in cents.

I don't see anything characteristic of hub doubling on that coin.

I see a few minor things that make me want to ask for a picture that is slightly more focused.

As Coppercoins says, I also suspect Mechanical Doubling on various letters but I do see what may be a notch on the upper left of the N in CENTS as well as something on the S of CENTS that has me curious.

Still could be a factor of the lighting and the focus issue but I am not ready to commit to anything yet:-)

Although, I should be committed:-)

I wish I had a better camera but that is the best I can do with a $100 digital cam that just has a built in macro setting and not a special macro lens.

Actually, I made a discovery, you can do a little better when the coin is out of the 2X2 the macro is focusing on the cardboard which is slightly closer to the lens than the coin.

The camera is OK...

The picture will be more focused with the coin out of the holder.

You may want to give it a try.

Thanks,
Bill
