Looks like a normal 1982 LD cent to me, probably brass (not zinc).

The doubled die is much more noticeably thick.

It looks like this: Distinct doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST. Even a late die state shows some of the grooves. On some really late die state coins or poor strikes, the letters look wider. Yours is normal.

Thanks! I have a couple books and one I could see the doubling the other looked kinda like mine. I will get the hang of this someday. I have been studying my books and reading a lot on these boards.
