I found this 2000-p Virginia quarter with double dies on obverse and reverse. So I did some research and couldn't find one like it. Well, at least not a Virginia State Quarter with doubled the die.

From the information I did find. . This coin has the indicators to prove it it a doubled die but am unsure of its worth and or if I should get it graded? Any helpful comments will be much appreciated.

I am fairly new to the community and this is my first post.

Thanks
M.C

I agree. Note how the damage reduces the size of the devices.
Rest in Peace

I'm not sure what the black arrows are pointing at. The top one looks like a gouge in the coin and the lower arrow is pointing at what might be either a scratch or a die crack.

I think that there are scratches and some resulting displaced metal near Washington's eye.

Keep hunting. You've got an eye for detail.

> The arrows are pointing to two seperate die cracks.
There are also die scratches on GW's neck area along with a double ear lobe(which I couldnt capture in a photo.

Hi Marcus -

As the folks noted above, looks like MD and maybe evidence of a later die state with the cracks. The devices may appear to be washed out where they meet the field (have a look at the 8s). The combination of things, including the machine damage, give the appearance of doubling.

Keep at it though - there are many DDs out there to be found. Stick with a few of the experts in this thread: they will help you develop the eye! Good luck!
