I'm thinking a problem free FR-02.

I want so much to give it the coveted P-01 but there's just a little too much meat on the obverse.

Would this coin be worth sending in to PCGS? Does it have a shot P-01?

I can see it receiving a P01 on account of the mint mark already being half obliterated; it wouldn't take hardly any more wear to render it ungradable.

It could go PO1 for sure but because of the hype and value added with those grades it likely would grade FR2. I'd call it a 1.5.

Is there a way to tell if there has been any graded from this year and mm with a grade of P-01?

FYI,
PCGS has one listed at P01 and two listed at FR2.
With the ability to artificially wear down a coin, I am still not convinced that the "conditional rarity" of a lowball coin gives it any added value

To be honest, I'd split it right between PO and FR, the reverse is PO for sure but the obverse still has enough detail for a FR, try, wearing it down by covering the reverse but wearing the coin in your pocket to get the obverse down a bit.

I'll say PO-1 but could just as easily go FR-2.

Thanks for the replies everybody....Would you send this in to be professionally graded? I have $8.99 in this coin. What kind of money could this coin bring in if it got the PO-01 grade?

Late to the party - sorry - too much work.
I concur that this example is deserving of a technical grade of FR02 ...
I suggest to you than any dedicated low-ball collector (myself included) would be interested in this coin only in a PCGS certified holder -
Gaining such certification will cost you some money - perhaps not worthy of the investment if you search completed auctions for the existing examples.

I hope Lowballing remains never more than a very niche specialty. Any inflow of real money will inevitably result in "artificial" coins being created. It's happening openly in the Morgan world.
