I have found several S mint LMC and early date unc LMC`s and my teller gave me 30$ clad Dollar coins and found SBA and President `S` mint coins not even trying.

Not much value, but for a new young collector a good start

Maybe a good time to do some roll searching. People could be short of cash and dumping the change jars.

I agree. Now is a good time to find those coins that have been sitting in jars forever.
Some great finds. Congrats.

I stopped at the bank today to turn in some halves and dollar coins plus. My bank has a coin counter that is free for customers. I had 3 folks ahead of me with bags of change cashing in. They had a lot of coins 20 minutes to count. My teller gave me 6 nickel Canadian quarters for free that were kicked out of the machine.

She said they have been bringing in a lot of cans etc

In the last couple of weeks or so I have found a 1900 V-Nickel and a 1936 Buffalo (fine condition) in bank rolls. I rarely find such older coins in bank rolls but if you keep on roll hunting, you'll likely find a few coins worth a small premium or more. The key is to not give up or get too frustrated when you get 'skunked'.

Just curious to hear from experienced hunters if holiday coin dumping generally results better with customer wrapped or bank boxes. I'm thinking of picking up a box of nickels today.

I know that sometimes you do well and sometime not. Years back I filled most of my sets CRH. My sister once got a British gold 1/2 Soverign in a nickel roll or what roll it fit in.

My opinion is the same. Been roll hunting for over 35 years, I usually don't see a really big difference.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72
