It's... Interesting. That's for sure.

To be honest, I don't think I'd even bother buying it for a quarter. It's just a little too far gone, for me.

If it could be attributed to be one of the NC varieties or the S-217 (which it isn't) then yes it would be worth that. Anything else, no.

Interesting as Hannigan's is one of the market makers in EAC coins. I wouldn't want this coins in my collection unless it was less than $1.00

I'd pay under $5 and use it as a key chain. I'd feel guilty doing that to about any other coin.

Greg Hannigan is a major player in rare coins. I've bought a couple of coins from him but often he is very pricey. So maybe Greg thinks that a mainstream $1.00 coin is worth much more if he sells it?

I would take it for a few dollars for my problem 7070 album. Though a lot of mine album has been given to me for free from dealers though or spot.
