Leave the 'decent' part to your imagination.

Late Byzantine is correct and because it is not your string suit, I'll add that it is actually from the next millennium.

Yes, I know that you are waiting for the best possible Siliqua from Honorius to make it the crown of your collection once the rest is finished.

No it's not Constantine IX - can't really give another hint before more guesses.

Yes, it is Michael VII

Guess-The-Emperor-Revised-Again Guess-The-Emperor-Revised-Again

AE Follis minted in Constantinople by Michael VII, Ducas - Sear#1878

Obverse: Bust of Christ facing, cross behind head, wearing pallium and colobium, raising right hand in benediction, in left hand book of gospels, IC XC in field with stars below
Reverse: +MI XAEL RASILO[A} around bust facing, bearded, wearing crown and loros, holding labarum and globe

The coin is most certainly minted over an older one, but have not been able to identify which one.

Did 'Byzantine' mean 'Byzantine' or rather 'Byzantine style'?
Since there are two figures shown, let me make the following guess:

Andronicus II and Michael IX?

Not them. It's Byzantine from one of the minor empires.

In that case I assume it must be a Saint (or so) on the right, could be a halo around the head, so my next guess is

Manuel II of Epirus?
