This Counterfeit 1909-S VDB coin, in a Counterfeit PCGS MS64RB holder, just sold for $1,200 and the buyer left the crook seller positive feedback: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1909-S-VDB-...047675.l2557If the buyer had just looked up the cert# at the PCGS look-up site and clicked on the sale of this coin from the 2012 Long Beach sale, he would have easily seen that this was not the same coin: http://www.pcgs.com/Cert/25114815/The coin in the fake PCGS holder is a common Counterfeit. Crook seller purposely took crappy pics of the coin to hide that. *Note* The insert in the fake PCGS holder shows the "S" in PCGS is below and to the RIGHT of the "B" in VDB......the real PCGS holder shows the "S" below and to the LEFT of the "B" Edited by g048406 12/11/2014 11:27 am

nice work ! This getting pretty ugly with all the counterfeit stuff out there. Maybe ebay needs a head office visit from the Secret Service. It is time for ebay with all of their money to have a coin listing monitoring system in place !

Good find. :-)
I have one of these holders in my counterfeit stacks, only it's holding a fake Morgan. Sadly, they're being mass-produced in China by the tens of thousands.

Barcodes are plainly different, too. That's enough to convince a layman on the spot when you show it too them. ebay needs to know about this one. PCGS too, for that matter.

One would think that by buying a coin in a slab you are safe and this goes to show that you are never safe. Always do your homework especially when buying a coin as expensive as this. Thanks g048406 for sharing this with us.

Just look at that "coin"--it says it all.

A problem is it did sell. And for a lot of money. And try to remember feedbacks don't mean a thing. For all you know a friend of the seller pretended to buy it and give the feedback. To bad no one could contact the purchaser and tell them what they just got.

The buyer likes it so much he already left positive feedback.

The VDB on the fake is slightly to the right, when most of us know that the VDB on the real ones is slightly to the left.
