My wife is a bank teller and she got me following today from a customer disposing his deceased parents half dollar coins and $2 bills :)

Any idea whats these worth and how to sell them off as I don't collect US coins. Is ebay the best bet ? if so should I sell by rolls or individually ?

1) 1934-1944 Walking Liberty halves roll - all of them circulated and junk except a single coin which maybe VF.

2) Franklin halves roll- some uncirculated but most circulated

3) Franklin and pre 1964 Kennedy halves roll - some uncirculated Kennedy halves

4) 1964 Kennedy halves roll - some uncirculated

5) 1965-1969 Kennedy halves roll - some uncirculated

I am not even sure I should call the better coins uncirculated since they have been kind a circulated now.

If you're sure they don't have any numismatic value, you could take them to your local coin shop or bullion dealer and get spot for them. I'd stay away from ebay to avoid fees unless you think you can get more than spot.

Planker I agree 500% with CelticKnot they gave you the best you could do except keep it yourself and have silver which you could sell later if silver ever starts to rise in price in the future.

I would hang on to them and sell when silver jumps back up. The only silver I get rid of lately has been to upgrade 40% to older 90% that has collectors value too.

Otherwise expect $2 for the 40% and $5 for the 90% no matter the age unless it's a key date. If you hang on to them and you might easily get twice that one day or more.

Im not a pro, but always keep nice looking ones. You can easily get $1.75 or $2 for Silver Halves that are junk. Collectors could pay you $8 or so for Kennedys and more for Franklins & Walking Liberties.

Rolls of walking liberties actually go for a premium on ebay, usually enough to cover the fees.
