Hey there everyone, I suppose I missed out on this one! I made a goal of $75 as a max bid, even though I knew it would go for a lot more! then I went 130... Well it wasn't meant to be... I thought it would go for a lot higher!

One day auctions on pre-Christmas weekends aren't smart.

People have better things to do than troll ebay every day at this time of year. I for one didn't even see the auction. I might well have thrown in a bid over the selling price.

That is a a lot, considering the grade and the year (25c struck on 1c are most commonly found dated 1978).

Not an especially good looking example, and the timing is poor. Even if a potential buyer doesn't happen to be time constrained a week before Christmas, they very well may be monetarily constrained, or cautious.

I was the underbidder on that one. As SPP said, not a hugely desirable piece due to the grade and date, but its still an offmetal error.
