Does this have a shot at a 65 ? old green holder. 3 hrs to go. don't know if I should keep bidding or let it go....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...MEBI:IT&rd=1

After putting in my last bid. I won by $1.00. I looked it up on the pcgs website it lists for $57.00. paid $61.00 w/shipping. I don't know if its worth trying to upgrade maybe sometime later.

Grovey,

In my opinion it is graded as high as it will go and maybe a little over. Hard to tell from the photo.

Coin "looks" nice and all. What do you mean a shot at a 65? Does that mean you plan to break it out and resubmit it? If so, you better add another $25, or so, to your bid price to cover submission costs and all. Otherwise if you keep it and try to sell it in the future as a 65 while it is still in that holder...well...if you can sell it at 65 pricing, you are GOOD.

I play that game too. Try to find a old green holder, break it out and pray for a 65 over a 64. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. So bid this coin with another $25 to $30 added to the hammer price and if you get it at 64 prices or less, all of the better.

I have to agree with ND. Even as a .tiff, the picture is not sharp enough to tell. I wouldn't take the chance.

I see it sold for $59.00. Top buck for a 64, but less than half what a 65 was worth! Mike[:0]

Sometimes you have to take a shot. Personally I would only do this with coin in hand, but you still have to take shots.

Good luck on this one.

Well I could always leave it as is and have a nice 64. or take a chance. My fear is that it could always come back graded DOWN from a 64 that would stink !!!. I'll try to post better pics when I get it and maybe we can vote if nobody minds.
Thanks.

Looks like it has a shot at 65 -- looks to have nice strike and luster from the auction photo. When you get the coin in hand, if the fields are fairly "clean" of marks it might be worth submitting. Post a pic when you get it (if you can).
