Is Camilla royalty? And if not does their marriage knock Chuck out of being the King of England?

I heard on the news the other day that he is in line to gain the thrown after Elizabeth dies so I guess it is still valid since the wedding was officially approved. I don't believe she is royalty no, only has a title now that people over there don't seem to care for. Here's something interesting you might want to read: http://people.indiatimes.com/articl...,curpg-3.cms

Will Charles abdicate in favor of his oldest son? Could the Empire survive another King Billy? Will Camilla tolerate Charles' passion for polo? Will Camilla be happy with the title of "Consort" instead of "Queen"? Stay tuned for the next episode of As The Island Turns!

Thanks for the link Nos. ``Boring Old Gits to Wed.'' Man they're tought over there even on their own royalty. Britons seem to have a love/hate relationship with them. But I hope they keep it around even if it means Charles becomes king. It's just seems like a nice tradition to keep. But... I still don't think Charles is going to even come close to filling Mum's shoes.

I dunno, I can see Lizzie hanging on for another 50 years just to spite Charles and Camilla! Let's hope that there aren't any Queen Camilla (or Princess Consort or whatever) coins, those would be up there with the Special Olympics and SBA coins for the eeugh factor! Rachel [:p]

From what I have seen and read, Britons are very particular about their royalty. I highly doubt that Charles will succeed to the throne. There are people there who are already thinking about changing from a monarchy. Charles and Camilla on the throne will push even more people in that direction. I'm sure William will be the choice. The people will never agree to Camilla as Queen or Consort (and forget ever seeing her on a coin).

There will probably a King Charles and a Queen Camilla. It will be King Charles whose portrait will appear on the coinage.
I also predict that Canada will discontinue the use of a Monarch on their coins in an effort to establish it own identity.
Scotland will begin to display a bottle of Whiskey on their coinage.
Ireland will show a bottom half bottle and a top half of a bottle of ale on their coinage.
All this should be interesting.

Catman you have great taste in coin design except for the King Charles part! That coin will be doomed from the very start as it would make Susan B. look like a beauty Queen!

Gee, Did you ever see a photo of Queen Victoria in 1900..?
She would have had to sneak up on a glass of water.

What about Maria Theresa of Austria? I am trying deperately to grab a decent florin from the mid-1800s at a fair price. Well I guess I am like everyone else I want the best for nothing that I can get! All the same I am enjoying the hunt! Finally purchased one of my favorite designs in gold today. The Netherlands 1897 "Childs Head" Queen Wilhelmina that I have refer to in other posts. Got it about $30 to $40 under national prices at this time! Just had to remain patient!

You guys are really making this hard. First Vicky then Maria and now Susan B.? that makes three. And I only have two arms I can chew off. [:0] But seriously, IMO, the day will come when circulated Queen Vicky coins will be one of the most sought after coins in America. Because circulated coins are authentic--they did what they are suppose to do. And Queen Vicky (as well as Maria and Susie) were authentic, living in a real world--with *real* acomplishements--rather than this Hollywood make-believe world that we're suppose to believe we really live in. And the junk they are feeding us from every corner is getting harder and harder to take. We have bimbo blonds that sound like Alvin & The Chipmonks on sleeping pills put on display by PR spin-doctors. We have "great actors" like Tom Cruise. You know when I watch a Tom Cruise movie it becomes clear to me that what's great about him is his screen writers and the actual movie he's playing in. His "acting" really stinks. Which is pretty sad since he's been "acting" now for over 20 years. Even John Travolta got better after 20 years. Well, guess I'll just watch the news then huh? Oh yeah that's real! How about some sports? Yup, just love those "real" athelets who love their fans so much they want me to pay $200 to watch them perform some silly dance on the field after they do what they are getting paid too much to do in first place. How much more of this "well actually" garbage, bogus world, can people in America take before they start looking for something authentic, either in the present, if you can find it--good luck with that--or in the past? Susie B. > Tom Cruise, Fox, CNN, NFL
