I am probably the only person in the world with a stamped 2.00 bill. Way back in the 70,s I believe, the united states reissued the 2.00 bill. Now, you are allowed to get a 2.00 at the post office on the first day of issue and have it stamped with that days date signifying first day of issue. Since the U.S.reintroduced the 2.00 bill it was considered a new issue. So, off to the post office, I tell teller I want a stamped 2.00 bill and she gets one and then puts a actual stamp on it and then stamps it. I just laughed and took it and left.
Rest in Peace

Actually, these are quite common. For personal spending and to give out in change in my Pond store, I get an average of $100 in twos each week, and in those see about three or four a year that were postmarked first day of issue. About 1 in 10 even still has the stamp on it.

Son of a gun all these years I thought she messed up, thinking she was only supposed to stamp the thing.
