My first post in ages. I came across this one in some coins my wife got from her mother. The color is a billiant red orange and I haven't been able to figure out yet how to capture it. It also has great luster and cartwheel. It does have some spots as seen in the pics. How would it grade. Thanks Pete41

Even with the spots, at least MS64RD, maybe 65.

63RD IMHO...too many distracting spots and some weakness in the strike on the reverse...(none of which matters to some TPG's, I could see 64RD for them)

64+, there's hardly a hit on it, the reverse is beautiful.

64RD. The spots and weak reverse strike keep it from going higher. Still nice

Thanks all for the responses. I wasn't sure what affect the spots have. Can they be removed with mineral oil.

I found my answer about removing the black/carbon spots from coins, Don't. More harm than good caused.

MS-65 R&B. The carbon spots are there to stay.
