I sent this off to ANACS yesterday along with my 42/1 D merc.

Wondering what the membership thinks it will grade? It looks better than the other one I sent in that came back MS64..but who knows

Curious as to other opinions, Thanks as always! RK

Easily a 64, maybe a 65 depending on the marks on her upper leg on the obverse. Why would you send a coin (not to mention the 42/41) of this caliber to ANACS rather than PCGS though? Given there are no additional charges to attribute these two varieties, I would want them in the best holders I could get, especially if resale is a possibility down the road.

@MorganGrader, I rarely do slabbed coins, I like raw but for a few error coins I do have I guess it is for the peace of mind and the thrill of the hunt for them that means the most to me.

I am not really concerned about getting top dollar if I decide to sell at some point, to me it's just that it is authenticated.

ANACS is easy for me, it fits my budget. I guess I am old school...lol

If it was a $10,000 coin, I may be swayed to use PCGS/NGC though.

It looks cleaner than a 64. I will bump it up to an MS-65
